Coming soon in Autumn 2. More information to follow! |
In the autumn term, our extra-curricular clubs are only available for our KS1 and KS2 children; however, these will open up to Reception children in the spring term after Christmas.
We hope you are excited to see a range of new clubs (and some ever-popular old-favourites too!) and thought you may like to find out more about our clubs on offer:
BilinguaSing
BilinguaSing was founded in 2013 by former language teacher Ellie Baker. BilinguaSing is the UK’s only carefully crafted music-led programme in the UK for teaching language from babies all the way up to 11-year olds, which is why we can’t wait to have them working at Radford Semele! At BilinguaSing, they believe that teaching children languages from an early age has lots of benefits – including boosting their development, enhancing their speech and increasing their confidence. Research shows that singing in a foreign language can make it easier to learn, which is why at BilinguaSing they combine music with learning a new language.
Our Spanish teacher, Lori, has been running primary classes at BilinguaSing for several years. She is a fully qualified teacher and teaches Spanish and French at Southam College.
Have a look at their webpage to find out more: https://www.bilinguasing.com/nurseries-schools/
Blackbox Tuition
Black Box Tuition was founded in 2024 with the aim of building young people’s confidence through Vocal Tuition, Musical Theatre & Drama Clubs in our local area.
Blackbox Tuition believe that the arts have on a huge positive impact upon child’s mental health, and found that children who attend their classes not only find their voice through singing, but they build in confidence, expand their public speaking ability, hone their social skills, and respond positively to constructive feedback. We love their focus on pupil wellbeing and the objective that they will leave each class with a beaming smile on their faces, every time!

DF Sports Football Coaching and Lunchtime Clubs
Danny has been working at Radford teaching PE lessons, lunchtime clubs and running our very popular football club for many years. DF Sports Coaching is an award-winning football company and allows all children (both boys and girls are very welcome and encouraged to take part!) to learn fun skills and gameplay in a pressure free, fun environment. Danny also helps to support our school football team and we can’t wait to organise matches against our local schools next year!
At lunchtimes, Danny also teaches a range of sports to both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two and these are free for children to attend. We look forward to our children learning a range of lunch time sports this year such as tennis, hockey, tag rugby, cricket, football cricket, athletics, dodgeball and even table tennis!

Forest School
Our Forest School teacher Aggy runs our brilliant Forest School after school club every Tuesday. We are really lucky to have our brilliant outdoor space and Forest School area at the top of our field. Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting. To book please contact the school office.
Netball training
Miss Conroy is really excited to be running our netball club this year! The lunchtime club is open to our Year 5 and 6 children and both boys and girls are more than welcome to attend! In the club, the children will play fun games to learn the rules of netball and play mini matches against each other following the High 5 Netball rules. We look forward to arranging some matches in our local area next year. The club is free of charge and children can sign up when in school.
Rocksteady music
We have been working with our amazing Rocksteady coaches for a number of years now and it is a much-loved, popular club at school. Rocksteady is the leading provider of in-school band lessons for children and they prioritise an inclusive approach and supporting children to find a sense of belonging. In our Rocksteady lessons, the children have the chance to form their own bands! In each band, the children take different roles and learn different parts such as drums, keyboard, electric guitar and vocals. We really enjoy our Rocksteady concerts where the bands perform to their parents.

Choir
Our choir is led by one of our wonderful teaching assistants (and very talented singer!) Mrs Reynolds. Mrs Reynolds loves music and singing and performs outside of school in a band! In choir lessons, children learn a range of songs, including current pop songs and medleys. Our choir have the opportunity to perform at a range of events throughout the year including taking part in Young Voices. In the past year, the choir have performed regularly in assemblies for parents, at the Christmas Fair at the community hall and the village pensioners' lunch.
Peripatetic music lessons
We are so lucky to have such amazing, talented music teachers at Radford Semele. Mr Hudson teaches music lessons at Radford as part of our masterclass lessons and also offers 1:1 or small group tuition in both guitar and piano. Mr Suckling offers a wide range of woodwind instruments and our drum lessons with Mr Possart are also very popular! We have been really lucky to enjoy performances from many of our musicians throughout the year and have been so impressed by how much they have learnt and their progress in such a short space of time!
Makaton Club
We are really fortunate that our brilliant teaching assistant Miss Rutherford is trained in Makaton. Makaton is a use of signs and symbols to help people communicate and is designed to support the development of spoken language. Miss Rutherford is really looking forward to teaching the children new Makaton signs each week and even learning to sign songs! The club is free of charge and children can sign up when in school.
Cook4kids cooking lessons
We are really excited to be working with Breda from Cook4kids in the second half of our autumn term! Breda provides fun cooking classes for children between the ages of 2 and 11 around our local area. Her goal is to make cooking entertaining and accessible, helping children gain confidence in the kitchen while fostering a lifelong appreciation for food.
Breda says, “My classes are perfect for under 11’s, who are given the opportunity to explore flavours (even when they’re hesitant!), try new techniques, and experience the magic of creating food from scratch. We cook a wide range of sweet and savoury dishes, and while our creations are in the oven, we enjoy an all-important weekly game!
When I’m not teaching cooking classes, I work as a midwife, where I have the privilege of supporting families through one of life’s most special moments. My passion for caregiving extends into the kitchen, where I love working with young children, helping them build confidence and essential life skills through hands-on cooking.
I strive to create a joyful and engaging experience in each and every class! Plus, you don’t need to bring anything along as I’ll supply everything. I look forward to seeing you!”
