Year 4 have worked outside the classroom today, completing activities linked to the Japanese Folktale ‘Green Willow’.
What a fantastic and fun-packed first day at Whitemead! The children have taken part in a range of activities including sensory adventure, tree climb, buggy building and scrap heap challenge. They have worked brilliantly in their teams and have encouraged each other along the way.
Day 2 has kicked off with a cooked breakfast and beautiful blue skies. The children have been taking part in tree climb, body zorbing and sensory challenge. The are now having fun in the pool, trying out water-rolling and free swim with floats.
Day 2 continued with more fantastic activities including archery, buggy building, tree climb, body zorbing and the day was rounded off with songs around the campfire. A busy but brilliant day!(Parents - Keep popping back to look at the photos as more will be added this evening and tomorrow).
As part of our China topic we had a Chinese food tasting session which the children really enjoyed.
