Good morning everyone,

It was fantastic to see so many of you in school last week! We had a great time catching up with you all and hearing what you've been getting up to whilst we've been apart. We're already looking forward to seeing you again!

There's another new folder of ideas for learning this week. It might be helpful to look at the theme presentation and task first, as the writing and reading builds upon an introduction in the theme learning.

Please note, this will be the last week that home learning will be in this format as we have something a little different planned for next week.

We hope you've all had a lovely weekend and have another great week!

Hello Year 2,

We hope you've had a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend and that you enjoyed celebrating 75 years since VE Day.

Here's another page of home learning for you to use this week. Writing and theme focus on one of Shakespeare's plays called 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. It's set in Athens and features some mischievous fairies so we hope you enjoy it! Please remember to pick and choose from the theme activities, we don't expect you to complete them all!

We were lucky enough to talk to some of you on the phone last week and hear what you'd been up to. We'll be calling the rest of you throughout this week.

We hope you have a great week and look forward to seeing lots more photos from everyone.

VE day message

Thank you everyone for the amazing VE day message. It has brought such a smile to all of our faces and it's wonderful to see all of your happy faces together again! We hope you have a great day celebrating on Friday.

Monday 4th May 2020

Hello Year 2, we hope you've all had a wonderful weekend.

We've uploaded a new file of home learning for this four day week, including some activities and ideas for celebrating 75 years since VE Day. It would be great if your child would like to try one or two of these.

We've loved seeing lots of pictures of all your learning so please don't forget to send us some more this week.

SPANISH - If children would like to continue learning and practising Spanish, they can use the free Duolingo app.

Welcome back Year Two!

We hope you have had a lovely Easter break and have enjoyed the lovely weather.

So this is week three of our new way of learning. Below you will find work for the next 2 weeks so please don't feel you need to complete everything, it is to provide some structure to your day. We would like you to continue with reading and practising your times tables (2s,5s,3s and 10s) everyday. For writing, we have set you two tasks a week so take your time as each task may take more than one session. For Maths, please complete an activity a day on MyMaths. In Theme there are lots of activities to choose from, complete as many as you like but at least two a week would be great. Science and spelling are weekly activities.

Please continue to send us photographs of your wonderful work to share on our website. We miss seeing your lovely faces and we hope it isn't too much longer before we see you all in school.

Please email us if you have any questions.
