It is World Mental Health Day on Sunday 10th October this year! So today, we will be thinking about what mental health is and what we can do to help us feel happy!
Our mental health is all about how we feel! Did you know our feelings can change all the time? How many different feelings can you think of? How are you feeling today? We can also feel very differently from our friends! Some people might feel excited to go on a rollercoaster but others may feel very scared!
Sometimes we can all feel a bit down or worried about something. What do you do if you are feeling a bit upset? We can do lots of things to help improve our mental health like going for a walk, reading a book, listening to music or doing some drawing! Did you know that eating well, drinking water and getting enough sleep can also make us feel better! I wonder what activities you like to do?
It's important to talk to a trusted adult or friends about our feelings rather than keeping them bottle up inside! Who do you know who cares for you that you could talk to? See if you can make a list!
