Week Beginning 27th April

27th April

Good morning Year One. I hope you'e all had a lovely weekend and are ready to get back to some Home Learning! Lots of you have been up to exciting things, as well as your work. These sentences are really detailed, and the robotic arm is a great project to have been working on! Leah's created a beautiful postcard - she's tried really hard with her writing and the picture is super! She's not the only one who's been working hard on her postcard. Ella has also done a great job, as well a wonderful garden picture with the plants labelled. Amara's been very creative this week - she's been creating different types of beach art, as well as trying out marbling and doing her own Science investigation. Wow! Elyssa's been doing some Science too. She's been learning about space and investigating plants by putting carrot tops in water and watching them grow again! I can't wait to see how they develop.

28th April

Good morning Year One. I hope you've all started on your second week of the Home Learning work - if you did miss something or forget to do it, don't worry, it will still be there! We now have a new online Reading Corner, where we can share books that we've been reading with each other and send pictures of our favourites. Amara's been working hard on her reading comprehension as well as getting creative. She's been learning to draw self portraits as well as create lovely paintings!

29th April

Good morning Year One. Well done for all your hard work so far this week! I've heard from lots of you and have seen on MyMaths and Numbots what a good job you've been doing. Remember we have our Reading Corne for you to share any books you've been reading with your friends - you could send in a picture or a book review! Have a look using the link above to find out more. Elliot's been keeping busy this week. He's done a super job on Numbots and has been doing a lot of work on seasides - well done, Elliot!

30th April

Good morning Year One. There's been some brilliant things happening this week and not just in English! There's been some Spanish learning, and he's done a super job at it - even deciding to translate some words in his English book to Spanish! Charlie's been on a plant hunt and founds loads. I love his brilliant leaf picture! Leah's worked really hard on her reading comprehension and has drawn a lovely flower to go along with it. Lexi-Mai has been very busy! As well as getting on well with her work, she's been planting and doing some art. Rosie's been getting on with lots of things too - she's drawn a wonderful garden picture, and has been working hard. She's even drawn a Pirate Pete to go along with the reading! Well done all of you, you're all working so hard. Keep sending me pictures for our class page or the Reading Corner - stay safe and have fun!

She made a yummy fruit salad before eating it outside and building a castle! Rosie's been getting her work done and has drawn an amazing picture of a sunflower following the sun. She's also made some delicious cakes. Joshua's worked really hard on his brilliant plant project and has thought really carefully about his writing. Elyssa's been writing a diary and has done a great job thinking about her sentences - she's even used an exclamation mark!
