Week beginning 27th April

Friday 1st May 2020

Well done for working so hard this week Year 6 and for sending me so much of your work. It was also lovely to speak to so many of you today, I will catch up with those I was unable to speak to on Monday. I have received some super writing and theme today from Ellis, Charlie, Brayden and Riley, and Tudor has been doing some baking with his brother. Hope you all have a well earned rest over the weekend and I look forward to hearing from you all next week.

I hope you are all well, I am looking forward to catching up with you all on the phone tomorrow. I have received some fantastic pieces of work today - Eva, Leilani and Eirwen have been working incredibly hard in the last couple of day producing work which is well researched and beautifully presented! Thank you for working so hard on your home learning and showing a real commitment to your work.

What a busy couple of days you have all been having! I have received so many pieces of work over the last two days. Isaac has been working hard on his theme work and has produced some beautifully presented work on what makes him unique and information about what is unique to Brazil. Tudor has completed reading, english, science and theme work. Ibrahim, Charlie, Eirwen and Taylor have all completed their non-chronological reports on Apartheid. Eliza has completed her biography about Nelson Mandela and Bianka has been doing some beautiful artwork! You are all working so hard and I am really proud of what you are achieving. Well done year 6!

Tuesday 28th April 2020

Good morning and I hope you are all well. The maths work today has some elements that are new. I have added a powerpoint and a worksheet to the maths section above which will help with your work. When you have completed the powerpoint and scale factor activity, have a go at the Mymaths lesson and homework if you can (if you are unable to complete the homework, please do not worry).

Monday 27th April 2020

Good morning, hope you all had a lovely weekend. Please continue with you home learning using the tabs above. Please complete the English tasks before completing the Theme task this week. I will be in school today so may be a little slower to respond to emails. Thank you Leilani, Ibrahim and Tyler who emailed work to me over the weekend, I will upload your writing this afternoon.

Eva and her family have had a very busy weekend! Over the past 2 weeks, they have been taking on the challenge of climbing the stairs to the same height of Macchu Picchu(2340m)! That's the same as climbing the stairs 70 times a day for 14 days! They worked so hard and completed their challenge over the weekend, raising almost £1000 for Myton Hospice. What an incredible achievement!
