Week Beginning 1st June

1st June

Good morning Year One. I hope you've all had a lovely half term! I'm sure you've all been doing some great things and have been keeping very busy. There's some new Home Learning for you as well as ideas for 30 Days Wild - this is an initiative from The Wildlife Trust that encourages children to do something wild every day in June. Have a look at some of the suggestions! Teachers won't be calling home this week, but please do contact me if you have concerns about returning to school next Monday. It's great to hear what you've all been up to! Iris has created a set and put on a Punch and Judy puppet show - it looks brilliant! Tilly has been working hard and has done a super job on her Punch and Judy story. Megan and her family are working on a great project - they've started a nature diary where Megan's stuck in pressed flowers and written about pigeons.

2nd June

Good morning Year One. I hope you're all getting on well with the Home Learning. Have any of you tried an idea from 30 Days Wild? Let me know what you've been up to! Teachers won't be calling home this week but please do contact me if you have any concerns about the work or about returning to school. I'd be happy to talk about it all with you. Megan's created a great Victorian bathing costume! I love the colours that she's chosen for her outfit, it looks brilliant!

5th June

Good morning Year One. I know lots of you have been keeping very busy this week with work and other projects - well done! If there's anything you'd like to share, then feel free to send it to me. Remember to have a look at 30 Days Wild for ideas of things you can do. Have any of you read anything recently that you want to share with the class? Send in a picture or a book review and I'll add it to the Reading Corner! I won't be calling home this week, but if you have any questions about the work or concerns about returning to school then please let me know. Rosie's done a brilliant job with her home learning this week - she's worked hard on the reading comprehension and has created a super design for a bathing machine!
