This afternoon, Mrs Gott read a story to both groups of Reception children. It was lovely to see everyone and the children enjoyed hearing the stories.
Miss Hanton's group heard the story of Little Red Reading Hood by Lucy Rowland and Ben Mantle
Mrs Bowen's group heard The Smeds and The Smoos by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler
The children have been busy making pirate treasure maps and telescopes. They have enjoyed being in character as pirates. Following on from the story A New Home for a Pirate, the children have written lists of what a pirate might need to pack.
