Grammar and spellings

Grammar:

This week in Grammar, we will be learning more about Expanded Noun Phrases. We looked at them earlier in the year but we will be recapping what they are, how to build them and practise writing them. Expanded noun phrases are a great way for you to improve and develop your writing. They help you to extend the detail and description that you use and to create more complex sentences.

 

First, watch Ms Brown's video explaining more. Then, complete the activity that she explains in the video. The lesson presentation is also below for you to use when completing the activity.

Spellings:

This week’s spellings are homophones and near homophones. Have a look at the spelling presentation to learn more. Make sure you know the meaning of each word and can use them in a sentence!:
