Today we're going to be finishing our suspense stories based on 'Krag and the Beast' from last week. The resources are below so you can find them easily and remember what you were writing. Once you've finished writing, edit your story carefully - remember to look for ways to uplevel your work and build tension! If you've already finished, or you can't remember what you were writing, you can choose what to write about - try to keep it based on 'Krag and the Beast' or the Stone Age.
For handwriting this week, we'll be writing up our story based on 'Krag and the Beast' - focus on your joins and making your writing as neat as possible! Remember to pay attention to any correcting you did.
Today we're looking at word classes - nouns, adjectives and verbs. Once you've been through the presentation, have a go at the worksheet. You'll need to use a different colour for each word class as you look for common nouns, verbs and adjectives in the text. When you've finished, go back and underline the proper nouns.
This week you're going to be continuing work on suspense and coming up with your own story. Today you'll be planning your work - have a look at the presentation, then start your plan. There are extra pictures to help you if you'd like to use them.
Ask an adult to test you on the spellings for this week before starting your English work.
You'll have two days to write your suspense cave story. Go through the presentation to help you remember some of the features of suspense stories then start writing your own. Remember to uplevel your work and use those features we've learnt about. Once you have finished your work, edit it and make sure you've included some of the features.
