Think back to our Theme lesson (see book below) where you decided where to place the Anglo-Saxon burghs (e.g. on a hill to have a good view of the enemy, near a river to source water and food). Write a letter as Alfred the Great, persuading your men to build the burghs where you have decided. Use the WAGOLL to help you. Remember to include the key features of a persuasive letter which you looked at yesterday.
Thursday 5th November 2020
Finish writing your persuasive letter. Once you have finished, self-assess your work using the success criteria and the column which says 'how do I think I have done?'.
