Thursday 14th October

Today you will be learning all about the Victorian artist, William Morris. William Morris was famed for creating patterned wallpaper during the Victorian era. He took his inspiration from naturem using flowers and birds in colourful repeated patterns to create his designs.

Watch the lesson below, pausing the video at the different points whilst you practise creating a floral design and sketching the bird for your design. Once you have completed the video of the lesson, look through the photo pack and the mindfulness sheets to help you with your own ideas for a design.

Now it's your turn to create your own masterpiece in the style of William Morris. Remember to include flowers, birds and symmetry in your design. Have fun!
