Week beginning 30th March

(Friday 3rd pm)

I just wanted to wish all year 6 children and parents a really lovely Easter holiday! Thank you so much for all your hard work over the last 2 weeks. Please make sure you use the holidays to relax and enjoy family life together. Perhaps you could choose a film from one of the reviews the children have written - thank you to all the children who took time to write these reviews this week. Have a happy Easter and stay safe.

Friday 3rd April 2020

One day left until the Easter holidays! I am really proud of how hard all of you have worked these last two weeks. I have really enjoyed hearing and seeing what you have been up to. This is your last day of learning before holidays and you still have time to send your film review. I will be uploading these for you all to see and read at about 4pm.

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Good morning all and a huge happy birthday to Leilani! We hope you enjoy your day and that you have a lovely time with your family. If anyone needs any help with the work today, please do not hesitate to email me and I will give you a call.

Wednesday 1st April 2020

Morning year 6, hope you are all well. Please continue with the work in your home learning booklet - maths,  World Travel and Cabin Boy. Please don't forget to send me any film reviews so that I can add these to the website on Friday.

It has been great to receive a few more film reviews today (thank you Charlie, Eliza and Poppy). They are all so well written and I am struggling to decide which film to watch over the holidays! I am looking forward to sharing these reviews with you all tomorrow afternoon. Tudor has been busy doing his work, drawing and creating a course for his hamster! Taylor has been having a sleepover in the living room, practising his boxing and working hard on his learning! Charlie has been going on long bike rides as part of his daily exercise and Imogen has been baking again! What a busy day year 6 have had!

Tuesday 31st March 2020

Good morning all, please complete the next page of your numeracy. For SPAG, answer the questions about the Around the World picture and for reading, find the definitions for The Cabin Boy Text. Before the end of the week, I would also like you to write a film review. At the end of your booklet is a help sheet, with ideas of how to structure your review. I will upload the all film reviews onto the website on Friday - perhaps you could choose one from the list to watch over the Easter holidays!

There has been lots of baking going on today! Eva has made a lovely cake for her Dad's birthday, Eirwen has  been baking cakes and making shortbread and Poppy has made a swiss roll! They all look delicious! Imogen has written a fantastic film review  - I will be posting this on Friday along with others that I receive by then. I look forward to choosing one of the films to watch over the Easter holidays!
