Year 6 – 2017/18
Theme – Rule Britannia Year 6 Made their own Viking bread for the end of this term’s theme. They weighed out all the ingrediants in pairs, then worked the mixture together into a dough and then finally shaped it into flat cakes.
Science – As part of our Science topic ‘Animals Including Humans’ we have studied the circulatory system and respiration. We made blood with different ingredients to represent red blood cells,white blood cells, platelets and plasma.
Theme – Rule Britannia Year 6 designed and made their very own Viking helmets, which were worn by the Vikings when they went to battle.
Theme – Wild Water Trip to Coombe Abbey
Year 6 and year 5 went to Coombe Abbey as part of their ‘Wild Water’ theme. During the trip the children learned alot about features of a river, wildlife which live in the rivers and took part in a river study, aswell as a pond dipping activity.
Greek Day – Year 5 and Year 6 had a Greek Day to end their topic ‘Greece Lightning’. They came dressed as soldiers or Gods/Godesses and enjoyed: Art activities, Greek food tasting and Olympic games activities.

Shakespeare Theme – Drama with Katie Kent from Campion School
Year 6 – Frida Kahlo Art
As part of Theme – Mexico and the Mayans Year 6 tasted some Mexican Food and performed the traditional Mexican Hat Dance.
