Women’s Cycling Tour passes through Radford Semele

Last Friday afternoon the whole school went to watch the ‘Women’s Cycling Tour as it passed through the main road in Radford Semele. The Children really enjoyed the afternoon and were super excited to cheer on the cyclists!

Science Assembly – Mad Science

On Monday 15th May ‘Atomic Anna’ from Mad Science came to assembly to share some fun and exciting science experiments with us. There were lots of volunteer children to help out with making things fly, creating a ‘science genie’ and making water disappear. Don’t forget, if you’d like to take part  in the Summer Science Clubs complete your form and return it to school or book online.

Science Fair and Competition

In March we celebrated Science Week by holding our annual Science Project Competition. We had nearly 50 fantastic entries from Year R right up to Year 6! Everybody enjoyed exploring the projects at our exhibition after school and lots of certificates were given out in assembly. Congratulations to our 10 winners who will go through to the next stage of the competition at Warwick University’s Science Fair.

Science Fair 2016 – Just a quick note to say well done to those children who came to the Warwick University Science Fair. It was a pleasure and a privilege to take them, as their behaviour and confidence when talking to the judges was exemplary. A special mention also for Daisy Evans in Year 5 who came third in her category.

Science Key Stage 2 – Quantum Theatre Group

As part of the Science Curriculum and Biology topic being studied, the Quantum Theatre Group came into school to perform a show.

On Thursday 24th September the Quantum Theatre group came to do a show about healthy eating and why we need to have a balanced diet.  We thought it was very educational and entertaining. We learnt a lot about eating healthily and also how much exercise we should be doing a day. It was very informative.
